The Project
Park Farm Alderley had a Wi-Fi problem.
The property had Gigaclear fibre coming into the downstairs kitchen, with a wireless repeater being used to provide connectivity to a first-floor flat.
The problem? The repeater was struggling to pick up a stable enough connection, leaving the tenant without reliable Wi-Fi.
Echo was asked to find a better way of getting a strong, reliable connection to the flat.
The Solution
Echo installed a new 5-port PoE switch at the incoming connection point, providing the foundation for a new wireless network.
A new wireless access point was installed downstairs, with a second access point connected to the first-floor flat using external Cat 6 cabling. The upstairs AP was wall-mounted in the living room to provide reliable coverage throughout the flat.
During the project, Echo was also asked to add a further access point near the upstairs bedroom of the main house, improving coverage in another area of the property.
The Result
The unreliable wireless repeater was replaced with a properly connected network, giving the first-floor flat a much more reliable Wi-Fi connection.
The additional access point also improved coverage in the main house, giving the property a stronger and more consistent wireless setup overall.
